《东方考古》是山东大学文化遗产研究院、历史文化学院考古系和山东大学博物馆联合编辑的系列丛书，分集陆续出版。本丛书内容以中国及东亚地区的考古学和古代文明研究为重点，广泛吸收国内外学者的最新研究成果，体现了考古学研究的新思路、新理论和新方法。第 21集为山东大学考古专业建立五十周年纪念专刊，收录了 49篇研究论文、 4篇发掘报告，内容涉及古史传说、史前到历史时期的聚落与社会考古、生业与手工业考古、科技与美术考古、博物馆学专题等内容。
