本书分四部分。第一部分是“植物诱导抗病性的理论体系”,分3个层次,以植物-微生物共同进化、植物-病原物相互作用、基因对基因关系为线索,从基因控制、遗传运作、信号传导、抗病防卫功能因子的诱发和作用、抗病防卫的“链-环反应”及在不同生物类群背景上的生物学和病理学功能等方面,系统构架了植物诱导抗病性的理论体系。第二部分论述了利用诱导抗性控制作物病害的策略和途径。第三部分是对烟草赤星病的研究报告,以寄主-病菌分子和群体互作为主线,为烟草抗赤星病诱导的研究提供病理基础。第四部分“烟草诱导抗病性”分诱导抗性的生物学、发生机制、利用途径、多抗作用等4个层次。
