This proceedings consists of 107 peer-reviewed papers presented at the Fifth International Conference on Traffic and Transportation Studies （ICTTS06），held in Xi’an，China，from August 2 to August 4，2006. The papers deal with a wide range of topics in transportation，including transportation planning and modeling，information systems，infrastructure and advanced applications.
