本年报收集广东省大亚湾及其附近水域的海洋生物和生态环境研究论文共22篇。这些论文是中国科学院大亚湾海洋生物（开放）综合实验站基金资助课题（1994—1996）的研究成果，主要反映了大亚湾水域生态系统的现状，特别是广东大亚湾核电站运行后以及海水增养殖发展对水域生态环境的影响，对研究海湾沿岸大型工业建设（如核电站）等人类活动对自然生态环境的冲击具有重要的参考价值，对海湾可持续利用的综合管理也有一定的指导意义。本年报可供生态环境研究人员、大专院校师生以及水产、环境等有关部门的管理人员参考。
